Veteran actor Robert Wagner, (Yes the former Jonathan Hart himself, from “Hart to Hart”) has been cast as the dad of Michael Weatherly’s TV sleuth. Father and son will reunite in NCIS’ milestone episode, slated to air on CBS, in January.

Warning: If you’re a fan of Grey’s Anatomy lovebirds Mark (Eric Dane) and Lexie (Cryler Leigh), stop reading this or if you do grab a defibrillator before reading!

A Grey’s Anatomy/Private Practice crossover slated to air in January, will find Mark spending some quality time with his currently single ex, Addison (Kate Walsh). “They’ve both really grown up since they were together, and most of the animosity that they had is gone,” says Shonda Rhimes, executive producer of both shows. “Now they’re friends, but they may end up falling back into their old patterns while they’re together.”

But wait, there’s more (so keep those paddles handy).

The reason Mark summons Addison to Seattle Grace (prompting him to visit her in L.A. In the second hour of the crossover) is that he needs her to perform surgery on a woman from his past! Actually, make that a girl (played by “Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles” alum Leven Rambin, who first appears on November 19.) and a pregnant one at that!

Rhimes declines to reveal the character’s connection to Mark, but one of the rumors currently making the rounds is that the girl is his…daughter! “It’s a new obstacle for (Lexie and Mark),” teases Rhimes of Rambin’s role. “I’m not sure it’s the kind of obstacle people are expecting, but it’s definitely a new one. I’m not sure they’ll stick together through it.”

So there you go, you have been warned. Okay, you can go ahead and use those paddles now!

While the “Twilight: New Moon” soundtrack draws blood atop the album charts, the CW’s “The Vampire Diaries” has been casting its own hypnotic spell with moody, atmospheric songs by bands so indie and hip even Edward Cullen might need to Google them.

“There’s something about the indie artists that really works well for our vibe.” says co-executive producer Julie Plec, stressing that the tunes heard in “Vampire Diaries” aren’t just background music, but help advance the romance and drama of Damon, Elena and Stefan.

For example:the gorgeous “Gravity” by torch singer Sara Bareilles, which Plec chose for Stefan and Elena’s first kiss. Or the aptly titled “Beauty of the Dark” by Danish artist Mads Langer, heard during Elena’s realization that Stefan is a vampire. Even a Moby cover of a New Order song, “Temptation,” popped up in the “Friday Night Bites” football episode, as Damon stood over Elena’s bed. “You get a sense of both his darkness and his humanity.” Plec says of the scene, which originally featured a song by Death Cab for Cutie, (a New Moon” artist.) “We have to work hard to not sound too much like the “Twilight” soundtracks.” Plec says. “But the success for them musically can only help us.” Plec says “Vampire Diaries” producers hope to release a CD of songs used on the show, soon.

George Lopez Feels Guilty?

Another Streep Catches the Acting Bug!

The new dramedy “Gigantic” premiering early 2010 on TeenNick, chronicles the life of Hollywood High schooler and child of movie stars.

The character of Anna is played by Meryl Streep’s daughter Grace Gummer (23) who has decided to follow in her Mom’s footsteps and her older sister, Mamie. (Mamie, has appeared on Broadway and in films like “Stop-Loss”.)

Grace, says she’s drawing on her normal, early years in Connecticut to keep her character relatable. “I feel like I can be myself,” she says. “I’m channeling that time in my life when everything was a bit harder.”

Jennifer is No Cougar

Lisa plays a horrifyingly superior and judgmental dermatologist who Jules (Cox) hates but still sees because she’s great at her job,” explains executive producer Bill Lawrence.

Major “90210″ Character Comes Out!

Jessica Lowndes is going to kiss a girl on “90210.” But not just any girl! She kisses Demi Moore’s daughter! Lowndes’ heretofore straight alter ego, Adrianna, will soon embark on a relationship with the show’s token lesbian, Gia, played by Rumer Willis. “I’ve never kissed a girl before so it’s a little nerve-racking.” Lowndes confesses.

The story unfolds in January, when Gia and Adrianna bond while attending AA meetings. “Gia develops a crush on her, and Adrianna is initially freaked out,” explains 90210 executive producer Rebecca Sinclair. “But then she starts to question her own feelings.” A full-blown romance ensues, and this could be just the tip of the same-sex iceberg. “Frankly, it’d be great if everyone on the show was bisexual,” laughs Sinclair. “It would provide lots of interesting combinations.”

Can Heather Save Melrose Place?

Heather Locklear is repricing her role as bad girl Amanda Woodward on the CW’s revamp of “Melrose Place.” (Tuesday, November 17.). But can the now-48-year old Locklear provide the same boost to the 2009 incarnation as she did back in 1993? Only time will tell.

Still, resident bad girl Ella Simms (Kate Cassidy) should be wary of this cougar’s claws. “Heather is fierce!” raves Cassidy. “There have been may comparisons of my Ella to her Amanda, but there is no competition. Amanda is the Queen Bitch.”
