Taylor Swift wins the Cuntry Music ASSociation Awards.

Last night marked the second time in as many years that Taylor Swift received the most coveted CMA Award. The 21-year-old singer songwriter looked shocked when the presenters called her name, as did the 35 people watching the Awards on TV. Winning her second Entertainer of the Year is a great accomplishment, now Swift is working on her next album, here’s what Swift told the press, “With this next album, I am so excited because I am writing so much. We’re still in the first year of making it, so I’m kind of seeing ideas as I finish songs. And as we demo them up in my producer’s basement, I can picture them being played on the stage. It’s such a fun, daydreamy job to have. You spend so much of your time daydreaming about the future, and it’s such a blast to call that your career.”

Looking at how hot, sweet, and innocent Taylor looks is my “daydreamy job.” God I want her career to spiral down like Lindsay Lohan’s.

Michael Jackson dies from overdose… no wait he was murdered!

Dr. Conrad Murray was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter from the death of Michael Jackson, dating almost two and half years ago on June 25, 2009. The story goes kinda like this “Hee-Hee! C’mon! Give me a shit ton of medication! Eh-Hee-Hee-Hee”! “Okay, will you pay me”? Replies Conrad. “Choo Know it”! Says Jackson… Nearly 50 witnesses and 22 days of testimony the jury found the defendant guilty of abdicating his duty or of acting with reckless criminal negligence, directly causing his patient’s death. The prosecution had called Jackson’s relationship with Murray a “pharmaceutical experiment”.

Sentencing will be held November 29th where the doctor can face up to four years of jail time!

I wonder if Jackson had told him “Don’t stop till you give enough“?

Christina Aguilera Gets ‘Bionic’ For Her New Album

After spending the past year in the studio, Christina Aguilera has announced the release of her highly anticipated fourth studio album, Bionic.

The album’s first single “Not Myself Tonight” will premiere on Christina Aguilera.com on March 30, and Aguilera is excited for her fans to hear her new sound. “I was able to explore and create a fresh, sexy feel using both electronic and organic elements with subject matter ranging from playful to introspective,” says the five-time Grammy Award winner, continuing on to explain, “It is something I don’t think anyone will expect.”

Christina collaborated with several artists including Sia, Tricky Stewart, Hill & Switch, Ladytron, Le Tigre and Polow Da Don and, according to Christina, “the results were magic.”

Following her massive success as a singer/songwriter, Aguilera has also added acting to her repertoire. Her first film ‘Burlesque,’ co-starring Cher, Stanley Tucci and Kristen Bell, debuts this fall.

Look for ‘Bionic’ when it drops this summer.

Dierks Set For ‘Bama Jam’

Dierks Bentley, Randy Houser, Jamey Johnson are among the stars added to the line up of the third annual Verizon Wireless Bama Jam Music and Arts Festival, June 3 through June 5 in Enterprise, Alabama.

Kenny Chesney has previously been announced as the headliner for the festival, while Miranda Lambert, Jake Owen, Hank Williams Jr. and others will also be performing. More than 40 entertainers are set to appear on Bama Jam’s four stages, with more announcements to come. The festival presents artists from all fields of music, including country, alternative and bluegrass.

Three-day, Premium Preferred seating is being offered for the first time. The special limited Premium Preferred seating area will be called The Peanut Gallery, as the festival site sits on a former peanut field.

Vince Gill To Produce LeAnn’s Next Album

It has been confirmed that Vince Gill will produce LeAnn Rimes’ next album, which she will begin recording in February. The album is slated to include several country love songs that were originally made famous by male artists. “When I was younger, I was always told I couldn’t sing men’s songs, well… screw that.”

LeAnn turned to friend and producer Dan Huff to produce her last album, ‘Family’. Vince Gill has produced albums by Amy Grant, Sonia Issacs, and the Notorious Cherry Bombs.

LeAnn says she is actually completing an additional record at the moment, which she has been working on for about a year.

At a recent concert show for ASCAP’s Music Cafe during the Sundance Film Festival earlier this week, LeAnn performed several new songs, including a song she wrote with Darrell Brown and David Baerwald. The song, “What Have I Done,” seems intensely personal for LeAnn, with the lyrics, “”What have I done/I broke the sweetest heart of the only man who ever loved me.”

Kenny To Release “Ain’t Back Yet”

Kenny Chesney’s new single will hit country radio February 8.

The tune is by Craig Wiseman and Chris Tompkins, and will play during the end credits of the upcoming film,Kenny Chesney: Summer in 3-D, which releases April 21 national release by Sony Picture Entertainment’s The Hot Ticket division.

Chesney’s new album is expected to be released in the fall.

Carrie’s Michael Jackson Tribute

Carrie Underwood is set to take part in a 3-D Michael Jackson tribute during the Grammy Awards on Sunday, January 31. Celine Dion, Smokey Robinson, Jennifer Hudson and Usher are slated to also be part of the performance, which will feature a never-before-seen 3-D movie “Earth Song” created by Michael as part of his “This Is It” tour.

Party For Lady Antebellum

Lady Antebellum celebrated the success of their number 1 single, “Need You Now” at an industry party at the Cabana restaurant in Nashville, January 13.

It marked the second No. 1 for the trio, Charles Kelley, Hillary Scott and Dave Haywood, following “I Run to You.” Lady A received commemorative plaques and honors from Country Weekly, ASCAP, the CMA and other organizations. “We’re gonna have to rent a truck,” Charles joked to the crowd. Later, Charles noted that, “We couldn’t believe the response to this song.” That massive response includes 1.4 million downloads, according to Mike Dungan, President and CEO of Capitol Nashville, the group’s record label. Following the No. 1 ceremony, Lady A performed “Need You Now” with co-writer Josh Kear and also sang their current hit, “American Honey.”

JOE NICHOLS IS “GRATEFUL TO BE HERE”

Joe Nichols is back on top of his game with a wife who believes in
him, a great new album and an attitude of simple humility.

Two years removed from treatment for substance abuse, the peace Joe
Nichols has found shows in his easy smile, the penetrating eyes and
the warmth and sincerity in his voice when he laughs, accepts a
compliment or says “God bless you” to someone he barely knows. This is
a person reveling in the second chance he’s been given to be the man
he was meant to me. And Joe’s making the most of it.

He and wife of two years Heather are in a rock solid relationship,
he’s got a great outlook on life and Joe’s new album, “Old Things
New”, (out Oct. 27), may well be his best work ever.

He remembers his troubled past, his incredibly good new record and the
believers who’s helped him along the way.

“Believers” . . . is about believers that I have admired in my life.
Like my wife. She’s a woman who believed in me when very few others
did. I think she saw something in me . . . value in me, in what I am,
who I am. She saw value in a person, ‘This guy’s a good quality guy.

“Another person is Brent Rowan, one of my producers. He’s been a best
friend for a long, long time. He’s the one that first shopped me to a
record label. He said, ‘I think you’ve got it and I want to shop you
to label x, label y, label z.’ He beat the streets with me and we got
a deal.”
“My dad was a believer, a real supportive guy. He believed in me and
music. ‘Son, I’m proud of you for getting’ this done and I’m proud of
the music that you want to do.”

Joe has found the strength to leave it all behind as the lyrics talk
about . . . “It is kind of the key to everything from that point
forward isn’t’ it?”
Joe has the ability to be humble and has the gratitude with the
strength behind it. “And asking for help is humility. Being humble is
knowing that I don’t have it . . . I don’t have control.”

“That’s hard for a lot of guys who feel like their manhood will be
questioned if they yield control I think.”
“But at the same time, it’s freeing. It’s very liberating to know,
‘All right, all I’ve gotta do is let go and let someone else have it.
And all I’ve gotta do is do what’s right in front of me. Do the next
right thing. There’s a choice in front of me that I’ve got to make.
I’m gonna weigh it out, see what the right thing to do is and that’s
what I’m gonna do.”
