Last night marked the second time in as many years that Taylor Swift received the most coveted CMA Award. The 21-year-old singer songwriter looked shocked when the presenters called her name, as did the 35 people watching the Awards on TV.  Winning her second Entertainer of the Year is a great accomplishment, now Swift is working on her next album, here’s what Swift told the press, “With this next album, I am so excited because I am writing so much. We’re still in the first year of making it, so I’m kind of seeing ideas as I finish songs. And as we demo them up in my producer’s basement, I can picture them being played on the stage. It’s such a fun, daydreamy job to have. You spend so much of your time daydreaming about the future, and it’s such a blast to call that your career.”

Looking at how hot, sweet, and innocent Taylor looks is my “daydreamy job.” God I want her career to spiral down like Lindsay Lohan’s.

The Kim Kardashian and Kris Humprhies wedding took place this weekend in Montecito, CA. The couple tied the knot after only “meating” six months ago. Kim wore a traditional ivory flowing long gown made by Vera Wang. It’s safe to say that’s not the only Wang Kim had that night. She probably gobbled up Kris’s ivory/ebony Wang like the king size Twinkie she had for breakfast.

The star studded event included Ryan Seacrest, Lindey Lohan accompanied by her mother and sister, Eva Longoria, Avril Lavinge, and Mario “A/C Slater” Lopez. Wow! That list seems like the cast of an awesome reality celeb rehab show!

Anyone want to take bets on how long this disaster will last?

Because of her support, the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, otherwise known as GLAAD, is presenting her with their Vanguard Award. “I was born, bred and raised among diversity, it has defined me and made me the person I am today,” says Drew.

“I’m honored and humbled to be receiving this award.” Comedian/talk show host Wanda Sykes is also being honored with the Stephen F. Kolzak Award during a gala in LA on April 17.

Kenny Chesney has previously been announced as the headliner for the festival, while Miranda Lambert, Jake Owen, Hank Williams Jr. and others will also be performing. More than 40 entertainers are set to appear on Bama Jam’s four stages, with more announcements to come. The festival presents artists from all fields of music, including country, alternative and bluegrass.

Three-day, Premium Preferred seating is being offered for the first time. The special limited Premium Preferred seating area will be called The Peanut Gallery, as the festival site sits on a former peanut field.

The movie centers on Gwyneth, who plays an unstable country singer, and Tim, who portrays the singer’s manager.

Filmmakers are in need of extras for a scene in which Gwyneth’s character stuns an audience with her musical performance. Although Tim most likely will not be singing, he will be there to greet the audience.

Doors for the event open at 4:00pm. The Lost Trailers will perform a set at 4:30pm CST. Admission is free, and extras are expected to be at least 18 years of age, and will be expected to stay until 11:00pm CST. Producers are looking for 2,000-2,500 extras.

Kanye 2009 MTV Music Awards

Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) and Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) arrived at the Houston, Texas, clinic of Dr. Conrad Murray – who was the late pop icon’s personal physician and was with him when he died last month – at around 10.20am this morning (22.07.09).

They are believed to be looking for Jackson’s medical records.

Murray’s lawyer, Ed Chernoff, confirmed in a statement: “We can confirm that a search warrant was executed today on Dr. Murray’s offices in Houston, Texas. We reviewed the warrant and remained on the premises while the search was being executed.

“The search was conducted by members of the DEA, two Robbery–Homicide detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department and Houston police officers.

“The search warrant authorised law enforcement to search for and seize items, including documents, they believed constituted evidence of the offence of manslaughter.

“Law enforcement concluded their search around 12:30pm, and left with a forensic image of a business computer hard drive and 21 documents. None of the documents taken had previously been requested by law enforcement or the L.A. Coroner’s Office.”

It has been claimed the warrant was linked to the findings of Jackson’s preliminary autopsy report.

Miranda Sevcik, a representative for lawyer Chernoff, said: “This raid was unexpected to us. All this drama is just not necessary, this is how we feel. Ed’s not dismayed about it. He’s just trying to figure out what’s going on. But he’s not worried about it.”

Although the events leading up to Michael’s death remain unclear, there has been intense speculation he was misusing prescription drugs at the time of his passing.

According to reports, police are focusing their investigation on the 50-year-old singer’s use of the anaesthetic Propofol, which is used to put patients to sleep before surgery.

A source confirmed: “It is Conrad Murray they’re looking at. They are looking for Propofol, along with anything else they find. But Propofol is the big one.”

Gossip website TMZ reported: “We’re told 8 Drug Enforcement Agency vehicles arrived at his offices. Two LAPD detectives also arrived on scene along with uniformed members of the Houston Police Department and 10 members of the DEA’s Tactical Diversion Team. There are another dozen or so DEA agents on hand.”

Reports claim the LAPD asked the DEA to attend to help serve the search warrant on the Armstrong Medical Clinic.

Murray was in Nevada at the time of the raid.

Yesterday (21.07.09), Chernoff took to his website to speak about the reasons police wanted to look at Jackson’s medical records.

He wrote: “The coroner wants to clear up the cause of death, we share that goal. We don’t have access to the most important information in this case … the toxicology report. We’re still in the dark like everybody else.

“Based on Dr. Murray’s minute-by-minute and item-by-item description of Michael Jackson’s last days, he should not be a target of criminal charges. Dr. Murray was the last doctor standing when Michael Jackson died and it seems all the fury is directed toward him.”

Murray attempted to revive Jackson when he found him unconscious at his rented Los Angeles house last month, unsuccessfully performing CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation).

Apparently it is traditional for the winners to get slimed at the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards. I wouldn’t know because I don’t watch the damn channel, so you readers out there that are more informed may have to correct me. Anyway, the Jonas Brothers won the award for favorite music group. Congrats. No idea why they are so popular… but I am amazed at the ebb and flow of trends. New Kids on the Block, NSYNC, 98 duckets or degrees or whatever… and now the Jonas Brothers.
