Her stint as Dr. Izzie Stevens on the hit medical drama made her a superstar, but Katherine Heigl has a more important role these days and that is, being a mother.
After five years, the actress is officially saying goodbye to the ABC series to focus on raising her daughter, Naleigh.
“I am done. I started a family, and it changed everything for me. It changed my desire to work full time,” she says.
The blond beauty and her husband, singer Josh Kelley, adopted their little one from South Korea in September 2009.
Katherine’s best friend and former co-star, T.R. Knight, left the show last year.
