Billy Joel and Christie Brinkley’s daughter, Alexa Ray Joel, have been hospitalized in New York.
NYPD and FDNY responded to an aided case at an apartment around 12:21 p.m. on Saturday. The FDNY tells us they transported a female from the apartment to a Manhattan hospital because she wasn’t feeling well. (The incident is still under investigation.)
A law enforcement official speaking on the condition of anonymity tells the Associated Press that a friend of the 23-year-old singer dialed 911 from Joel’s apartment and said Joel had consumed several pills.
Joel’s publicist tells the AP she was hospitalized due to an undisclosed condition. She is receiving treatment and is in stable condition, the publicist adds.
