Hilary Swank was excited to play Amelia Earhart in her upcoming movie ‘Amelia’ because she has always wanted to learn how to fly. Hilary began taking flying lessons before shooting the movie however; she was ordered to stop because the film’s insurance would not cover it. Hilary said: “I had about 19 hours of flying under my belt, but the insurance policy on the movie was never going to allow me to do that. You can’t play Amelia Earhart and not learn how to fly. That’s just wrong in every way.”
