Miranda Lambert’s new album is called, “Revolution” But is should have been called “Evolution.” Lambert finds her artistic footing with this, her third country album. This new album is her best as of yet! This no-nonsense Texan still knows how to let out a rebel yell, she has more to say this time than ever before. And in my opinion, it is all for the better.
The 25 year old expands her vision beyond shooting or burning down stuff, and makes a glorious leap into maturity. She’s found stylistic shades of song writer’s twice her age, while maintaining her own bratty Texan flair. With themes of sin and forgiveness, regret and acceptance, loss and grown-up love, “Revolution” is an honest portrait of of an artist in full possession of her powers, and the best mainstream-country album this year so far.
