Why American Idol is so popular is beyond me, but it is and I guess there’s no changing at least for the next 5 minutes… thats how long shows like this seem to retain popularity. With the exception of Friends, Seinfeld and Cheers… oh and that damn lame ass show my mom used to watch, M.A.S.H.
However, as we mentioned in the past Paula Abdul thought she had some type of bargaining chip with the producers and that she’d be able to negotiate a higher salary and stay on the show. She was wrong. The funny thing is that Paula Abdul is about as smart as a handicapped golden retriever. The idea in her head that she would be hard to replace is laughable.
Simon Cowell, as much as I hate him (only because I’m jealous of his money and cars) seems funny and honest and real. 3 things that Paula Abdul is not.
So fast forward to reality, who have they replaced her with? Ellen Generate errrr Ellen Degeneres. The fish taco munching queen herself. Amaziiiiing. She’s smarter then Paula Abdul, but also much more annoying. I’ll bet she’s doing the episodes for like food stamp payments though so it’s probably a smart move.
The only question is, how many sex scandals will we have during the season between Ellen and bi-curious contestants…. that’s the only thing I’m looking forward to watching!
