DJ AM passes at the age of 36

DJ AM, the sought-after disc jockey and former fiance of Nicole Richie, was found dead in his apartment yesterday. Sources tell us he was found in his apartment at around 5:20 PM. According to police sources, a crack pipe and prescription pills were found in the artist’s apartment in Manhattan. He had spoken openly about his past drug addiction to ecstasy and crack cocaine in recent months, and that Goldstein had been devastated over a break-up with girlfriend Hayley Wood. DJ AM had not been seen or heard from for a few days, so one of his friends went to check on him, but got no response after knocking on his apartment door. Supposedly, his friend called the cops, who gained entrance to his apartment and found the body. The New York Medical Examiner’s Office has begun to perform the autopsy, n o word on when the results will be released.
