Lily Allen is pretty cool, we’ve talked her up on this blog some in the past so your probably aware that we like her quite a bit. Or rather, I do. Anyway, apparently she broke down on stage last night and cried in front of everyone. The reason? Read on for more.
The ‘It’s Not Fair’ singer was performing in Helsinki, Finland, when she began sobbing, causing her sparkling blue eye make-up to run.
The 24-year-old star was so distraught she had to use a towel to dry her eyes, however, she was quick to insist it wasn’t the crowd who were upsetting her.
She said: “I feel a bit emotional tonight and if I cry it’s not because of you but because of me.”
It seems Lily’s tears were caused by a nasty fall she endured the night before (15.08.09), which meant she had to have a painkilling injection.
She wrote on her Twitter blog: “’Fell over badly and I’ve really f***ed my back up. Just had an injection in my bum. How am I going to get through the gig?”

Good for her that she didn’t want too disappoint anyone. But how long can it last. Back pain is very serious. If she can keep going without a problem, & without the painkillers good. I would hate to see her give up something that she obviously has a love for. I can only hope that it won’t effect her future concerts, or that people will be less than kind about her performance because of her back injury. At any rate she’s going to need some downtime to see if it can or should be fixed. … good luck! (sincerely)
I think it is just one of those temporary week long things, nothing serious.
Actually I stand corrected. She’s not taking painkillers. She’s taking cortisone.
Isn’t that an injected painkiller? Football players take that crap all the time right into the spot where they need it.
No it’s an anti inflammatory related to steroids (not painkillers) It enhances the production of natural cortisone produced by the adrenal gland.
