We normally don’t post this type of news on here, but Lance Armstrong has transcended the sports star barrier to become a plain “star” and “celebrity”. You try winning 7 Tour De Frances and battling testicular cancer… I’ll bet even Meatloaf can’t pull that crap off. Anyway, Lance has a Twitter account and you can follow him, or we’ve got the scoop here:

“Stage One done,” the 37-year-old, seven-time Tour champion Tweeted after finishing the first stage time trials. “Started conservative and we tried to come home strong.”

Lance led the race for a brief period, and please note he is still recovering from a broken collarbone. If he manages to win this thing (or even place well) it’s a true testament to the man’s abilities.
