We reported (as did others) that it appeared that Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jamie Kennedy were engaged a week or so ago. Apparently, that’s not true.. while they did shop for a ring together, it was just a regular ring, not an engagement ring. However, Jennifer Love Hewitt did go on record saying that if Jamie doesn’t pop the question within the next year, they are going to have some serious problems. Which kind of takes the whole romance/do it for the love thing out of it if there’s a timetable on it, don’t you think? Personally, I think Jamie Kennedy needs to jump on that like a live grenade because I just don’t see him being able to score a hotter chick. Then again, what do I know, for all I know he’s hung like a horse and bangs more quiff then Russell Brand.

Jennifer Love Hewitt has told her boyfriend to propose within the next year. The ‘Ghost Whisperer’ actress – who split from fiance Ross McCall last year – is keen to tie the knot with co-star Jamie Kennedy and his given him a deadline for popping the question.

She told US radio programme 104.7 FM’s Johnjay and Rich Show: “A timeline? By this time next year, if we’re not planning something, then there’s a
situation.” Jennifer denied reports the couple – who began dating earlier this year – had already got engaged after they were spotted at a Las Vegas jewellers buying a small ring. She said: “A rumour has come out that Jamie and I supposedly got engaged. He was like, ‘No, no, no. That’s not true!’ “I was like, ‘God, would that be the worst thing in the world?! Excuse me, but just for a second, there’s a line of people who would probably be OK with that.’ ”
Jennifer has previously spoken about her love for Jamie, 39, claiming he makes her the happiest she has ever been. She has said: “We just make each other laugh and we’re best friends. Even though we haven’t been together for very long we are very much alike. “The fact he is so hilarious is what makes this  relationship work. When you’re really funny, there’s nothing really bad that can happen. He is a realist and I am a dreamer.”
