I’ll admit it. I’m a big Mel Gibson fan.. sure he’s had a few mis-steps here and there. But the dude can act, and he’s been in some of my favorite movies… and if you add that with the fact that he’s very ‘Bruce Willis’esque in the fact that he seems to be down to earth and realizes that just because he can act that doesn’t mean he’s a superior human being to the rest of us. I dig that.. but I’ve been hearing a ton of stuff lately about how crazy Mel Gibson is being. I mean certifiable. The devout Catholic attended a service at the Holy Family Chapel in Agoura Hills on Sunday (31.05.09) and reportedly blasted fellow worshippers for gossiping about his private life, following his split from wife Robyn. A source told gossip website Radar Online: “Mel has completely lost it. His
holier than thou world is falling apart and it seems Mel hasn’t been practicing what he preaches. “It was a crazed rant. He paced back and forth, furiously telling the congregation including two priests and a visiting bishop, that he would not stand by and be judged and scrutinised.”
Mel, who recently confirmed his new girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva is pregnant with their first child, has allegedly threatened to close the church if he suspects the congregation are still talking about him. The source added: “Mel approached the altar and went off. He tried to intimidate the parishioners by staring at everyone with his angry eyes. Mel even threatened to shut down the church if people kept gossiping about him. “The bottom line is that if Mel hadn’t gotten his Russian girlfriend pregnant while he was still married, there wouldn’t be much to gossip about.”
Mel recently opened up about his split from wife of 28 years Robyn, admitting he was to blame for their separation. He said: “My wife and I, our marriage ended three years ago and we’ve been separated ever since then. These things happen.” Robyn – who has seven children with Mel – filed for divorce in April, citing “irreconcilable differences”. She is expected to get half of his £450 million fortune.
