I’m not sure if I’m digging this move or not. On one hand, I don’t really care for Ashlee Simpson. On the other hand, I don’t really watch Melrose Place. So I guess I don’t really care as it won’t effect me in the slightest. But… if they would have only gotten a hot chick to do it who would get scantily clad every once in a while, at least I might have some hope of a nip slip or something. The singer-actress, 24, plans to return to TV as a small-town girl trying her luck in Los Angeles, according to Entertainment Weekly. The character she will play – seven years after her first big role on the WB’s 7th Heaven – will display a “disarming naiveté [that] masks the calculating, shrewd sex kitten within,” says EW.
