For some reason, the fact that Jennifer Lopez was competing in a triathlon had been making news lately. All the major magazines reported on it, and People Magazine had it as sidebar cover story. She even made the morning news explaining how she was preparing.

Ooooh! Tantilizing!

But today was the day she actually competed!

Aside from the fact that Matthew McConaughey, Chris McCormack, Andy Baldwin, Felicity Huffman, William H. Macy, John Hamm, Mark-Paul Gosselaar(Go Zack!), Jon Cryer, Monique Coleman, Scott Foley and Anna Kournikova also all competed, it made headline news that Ms. Lopez crossed the finish line.

This feat is less impressive when you realize that this was one of those “Celebrity” events where instead of running, swimming and biking, they pretty much sat on beach towels and built sand castles.

It was for a good cause, and maybe I’m just jealous because the most exercise I got all weekend was walking to my microwave to heat up another package of Mr. Noodles.
