Kanye West, known for being not very outspoken, having a small ego and being a calm and collected guy, surprised Hollywood today by lashing out at a photographer and getting himself and his bodyguard arrested for battery and vandalism. They are both currently out on bail, having caused upwards of $10 000 in damages.

The whole thing was captured on videotape by a TMZ reporter, who also had his camera smashed by Kanye. He says that he “noticed a still photog taking several pictures of Kanye West. West rushed the photog and grabbed his camera. A struggle ensued and the still guy was screaming, “Police, help!” and Kanye then took the still camera and threw it on the ground, breaking it into pieces.”

When West and his bodyguard noticed that “Hey wait a second, this violent crime was just captured on video tape” they did the next logical legal step and, on advice from their lawyer, attacked the TMZ cameraman and tried to smash the evidence.
