Heath Ledger as The Joker

This past weekend, the opening of The Dark Knight brought in enormous amounts of money and shattered tons of records. It was the biggest movie at the box office, and since there will not be a new movie opening this weekend, the numbers are expected to increase dramatically.

The Dark Knight brought in $155 million alone this weekend and is expected to earn more this week! The movie surpassed the opening of Spiderman 3, and at the time, everyone knew Spiderman 3 was going to be a hit. The film was also released in IMAX, and there were sold out viewings for the film in IMAX. It was definitely a good weekend at the box office!
