Giving a whole new meaning to the coveted designation, ‘Bad Boy’, Anne’s late main man Raffaello Follieri got nailed with 12 counts of fraud and conspiracy and was arrested Tuesday in Manhattan. Follieri was alleged to have used and abused his associations with certain Vatican officials in order to secure the confidence and bank accounts of investors, investors who were led to believe that Follieri’s associations would enable less costly acquisitions of Catholic Church property in the U.S. Follieri was accused of then using these borrowed funds to sustain a lavish 37,000 suite in New York, a private jet, and other expensive innumerables –A far cry and a sharp detour for the 29 year old Italian entrepreneur, who once dreamed of a real-estate empire, built upon the obtainment and redevelopment of Catholic Church properties. Hathaway’s and Follieri’s split occurred as recent as just a week ago, severing several years of comparably happier times, thus lending a glean of hope and one neat little opening for the massively underrated ‘Nice’ guy.
