Ruben Studdard and fiancee Surata

Second season American Idol winner Ruben Studdard applied for a marriage license on Monday in Alabama.  Ruben and fiancee Surata filled out the paperwork in the morning and obtained their license.

No plans have been set as to when the couple will get married, but the marriage license is valid for 30 days.  An eyewitness stated that the couple seemed very happy during the process.  Wedding bells will be ringing soon!
