Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi

Although it was said that Ellen and Portia were planning to tie the knot, the news has been made official.  Ellen DeGeneresbought longtime partner Portia de Rossi a pink diamond ring for the wedding.  The wedding will air as part of Ellen’s daytime talk show for fans to watch.

A wedding date has finally been set for the impeding nuptials.  Ellen announced that she was getting married back in May on her show once the state of California allowed for gay and lesbian marriages.
