Former actual TV star, and current reality TV personality, Scott Baio opened up about his baby daughter’s brush with death! Except don’t worry, there wasn’t really anything the matter with her.
The one-time star of Happy Days and Charles in Charge became a father last fall when his fiancee Renee Sloan gave birth to their daughter, Bailey DeLuca. Scott’s reality show documented the whole thing.
Baio has just come forward about his little girl’s health scare. Just after being brought home form the hospital, Bailey tested positive for a metabolic disorder that might be deadly! Baio said, “It was the worst time in my life. Every breath that you take, every thought that you have, every moment that you’re conscious, it’s all you’re thinking about. The disease is a constant in your brain. It never leaves you.”
When the couple tied the knot last December, they were still distraught over their daughter’s condition, but they confided in no one, certainly not the media.
When the test proved to be a false positive, Baio and new wife “jumped through the ceiling… In a way I’m glad I went through it because this sort of thing puts everything else in perspective.”
