
Under the outdoor rainy skies, Jon, Jordan, Joey, Danny and Donnie took to the stage as the final performers at last night’s Much Music Awards in Toronto. For their first prime-time gig in 15 years, the quintet performed a medley of old hits and new singles.
Looking very “Boyz to Men-ish” in matching white suits, the guys opened up (off-key) with Step by Step and Hangin’ Tough, much to the delight of the many 30-something, would-be-Mom’s in the audience. They continued their road down memory lane with some very tame dance moves and the obligatory “shout-out” to Toronto by Donny. They ended their lackluster performance with a rendition of their current single, “Summertime”.
Here’s hoping that the New Kids on the Block realize before their next performance that just because you look like Boyz to Men, doesn’t mean that you can sing in harmony like them…
