In a new interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Bridget Moynahan opens up about being pregnant, single and “frightened.” She explains to the magazine, “I’m not sure anyone – and I could be wrong in this – grows up thinking, I want to be a single mom.”
The 37-year-old actress first announced her pregnancy after her three year relationship with New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady (who’s now with Gisele Bündchen) ended. “When you’re suddenly pregnant and no one is standing by your side, even if you’re in your 30s, it’s a hard conversation. I’m a traditional girl, and I believe in marriage, and I just always thought that’s the way I’d be doing this.”
“For a moment, it was hard for me to accept that this was the way I was going to have a family” Moynahan confessed.
It was just last August that the actress gave birth to her son John and it was then that she decided to give him her last name. She remembers coming home with her son for the very first time and “sobbing.” “All of a sudden, you have this newborn you have no training for. It’s frightening,” she says, clarifying the experience.
But family members and amazing friends like Will Smith have helped Moynahan through this tough journey. “I got so much out of that,” she says of the “traumatic time” when she was heartbroken and pregnant. “It’s golden and it’s tough and it was f—ed up. But now I have a child, and it’s the best thing in the world.”
Looks like there’s a happy ending after all…

There are people who are close to the brady family starting to speak out, that bridget admitted to tom that her pregnancy was NOT an accident, that she went off the pill without telling him. no wonder he reacted the way he did! she deceived and betrayed him in the worse possible way a woman can. she has tried everything to get him back including chasing him at out of town games and practices to be turned away by security. now she is manipulating the public into presurring and shaming tom into going back to her {for the sake of the baby, of course} by playing the victim. she has not handled this with any class at all {as some are saying} but a bitter, desperate woman. give it up! haven’t you made a fool of yourself enough? the truth is out, admit that and maybe this will go away sooner for the sake of your baby!
