Miley Cyrus accused of stealing song from LA band Lustra

Singer Miley Cyrus has been rocked by another scandal just two weeks after the scandal of her provocative Vanity Fair photographs. She is now accused of copying someone’s else song. Los Angeles band Lustra claim Cyrus’ Rockstar hit is a carbon copy of their Scotty Doesn’t Know tune, which appeared on the soundtrack to 2004 movie Eurotrip. And they are inviting Cyrus fans who love her song to check out “the original” on their MySpace.com web page.

Lustra were alerted to the similarities between the songs by fans and they listened to both tracks and the bandmates claim the tunes are virtually the same. Lustra guitarist Nick Cloutman adds: “Although we are very flattered that Ms. Cyrus took this route, we would have preferred some credit.”

The band is considering various options to rectify this situation. The spokesman states: “The immediate solution is to minimise leaks, and keep all future recordings in a vault, under extreme security.”

Lustra frontman Chris Baird adds: “If Hannah Montana wants us now, who is next? The Jonas Brothers? That said, if (Vanity Fair photographer) Annie Liebovitz is interested in photographing us nearly nude we are certainly open to it and we look forward to her call.”

  1. It is not true I listened to bolth and the only part that is the same is the very very very beginning the rest is completly diffrent. If u dont believe me do the smae thing i did

  2. Atleast when a rapper steal beat, tone, and guitar riffs they give credit where credit is due. With Disney spending as much as they do on Hannah Montana Merch. you’d think that they would ppay the song writers enough to write something original. Disney can’t claim that this is an obsecure reference. The movie was Hit The soundtrack sold over 100,000 copies.I have a Scotty Doesn’t know ringtone.
IF YOU CAN’T HEAR THE SIMILARITIES YOU’RE AS TONE DEAF AS MOST MILEY FANS

  3. Lustra is awesome to have a sense of humor about the situation. I hope they can all work it out. Mark can be a hater if he wants…IT’S OKAY.
