Kristy Lee Cook may be sad about getting the Idol boot last night, but today she’s happy to say she’s engaged. Cook, 24, said her boyfriend, Andrew Dobner, 25, first asked her on March 15.
“We kept it on the down-low because I didn’t want to have to deal with that kind of stress from everything. I just wanted to focus on American Idol,” the Oregon native said in response to an Us Weekly question during a press conference earlier today.”The ring that he got me has got a marquee cut on it and has quite a few diamonds on it,” Cook said. “We picked it out together a long time ago.” The two haven’t set a date yet, she said, but are aiming for “next June.”
