Rumors began to fly earlier this week when Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z obtained a marriage license at Village Hall in Scarsdale, New York on Tuesday. On Friday the 6 year couple finally married in a very private ceremony.

While there’s no official confirmation yet, a friend of the couple spilled the beans to press about the intimate affair that took place yesterday. “It happened earlier this evening. Jay wanted it to be a really private affair – close friends and family.”

And afterwards, there was a luxurious party at Jay-Z’s Tribeca penthouse apartment where he apparently spared no expense. Earlier in the day, 50,000-60,000 orchids were delivered, as well as candelabras, and only the finest food and drink.
