Naomi Campbell facing prison charges (6 months)
Fiery supermodel Naomi Campbell could face six months in prison after being arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer on a British Airways flight.
Campbell, 37, has now been released on bail after apparently having a furious row with BA cabin crew over a missing bag at Heathrow’s Terminal 5. During the showdown, Campbell spat at an officer, one onlooker claimed. Another claimed that she was virtually “dragged” from the aircraft.
Naomi — who has a long history of temper tantrums and of attacking her staff — was to appear on a television program in the U.S., and was apparently told that one of her two bags had not been loaded on to the plane. The bag, which is thought to contain clothes for her TV appearance, was said to be “very heavy”.
The incident, which lasted 40 minutes, saw Naomi being put into handcuffs and after a struggle, four officers managed to get her off the aircraft, sources said.
She was then taken to Heathrow police station and is now facing a prison charge of 6 months.
