Paris Hilton does the Harvard Lampoon: National Geographic special (April 2008)
Paris Hilton is on the cover of The Harvard Lampoon special magazine due to hit shelves on April 1st.
In a special April Fool’s Day issue of National Geographic, the socialite is featured posing with stuffed animals as a satirical homage to Jane Goodall.
Assistant photographer Wesley Jefferson is quoted in the 4 pages story as saying, “Paris really wanted to stage a tableau of the execution scene at the end of Brecht’s Threepenny Opera. But she ended up being okay with the animals, too.”
The magazine, published five times per year, is distributed free to 15,000 Harvard undergraduates and alumni and 30,000 subscribers. According to a Lampoon spokesperson, the parody’s print run has more doubled from approximately 100,000 in 2005 (for the Lampoon’s Premiere parody) to 225,000 for the National Geographic spoof.
