Britney Spears has commited suicide by blowing her head off with a gun in the latest episode of South Park.

Cartoon Britney is pushed over the edge after trying to escape paparazzi attention by going camping in South Park in the latest episode of the long-running show.

As with many characters in the cartoon she meets a gory end, blasting her head off with a shotgun after she makes a disastrous appearance at a music awards show.

The singer is finally photographed to death by a baying mob.

Britney is the latest in a long line of celebrities who have been lampooned in South Park. Angelina Jolie, Tom Cruise, George Clooney and Jennifer Lopez have all been parodied on the show
