On her program Monday, Oprah Winfrey and her design expert Nate Berkus unveil his latest miracle: building a dream house for a couple in order to give their three young daughters a second chance. The segment is part of a preview for Winfrey and Berkus’s new ABC primetime series, Oprah’s Big Give. Premiering March 2, the new series will pit 10 contestants – everyday people “who have had incredible experiences and want to use their lives to give back,” Winfrey tells PEOPLE – against each other to see who can give money away the most effectively. The idea for the series grew out of an episode of Winfrey’s show about “paying it forward,” she says. “I hope that viewers will see something of themselves in the contestants. That’s what this is really about – feeling inspired and asking yourself, ‘What would I do?’
