Singer Marie Osmond is getting her own Oprah-style talk show in the US. The TV personality, who recently appeared on hit celebrity reality contest Dancing With The Stars, will debut The Marie Osmond Show in late 2009. Osmond, 48, said: “I’ve always wanted to do a show for women that would offer them a safe place to have some fun and get vital information. Marie’ will truly reflect my personality – funny, sometimes serious and never predictable.” Osmond, who shot to fame with her singing siblings in the 1970s previously starred in The Donny & Marie Show with her brother. “Marie Osmond is unique in this industry,” said Josh Raphaelson of Program Partners, the company that will produce the new hour-long show. “She is a star with an authenticity that makes her relate-able to every woman in America.”
