It’s sad how some idiots in this world try to shape the way they think God is. Truth be told, that so-called Baptist group has every right to do whatever they want, it’s a part of their constitutional right as long as they are not doing anyting illegal…. but it does not take away from the fact that it is extremely disrepectful to picket a young mans funeral simply because he acted in a role as a gay cowboy. He is not gay, he is an actor… how igorant can some people really be? I’m not a particularly religious person, and I do not judge others for choosing their beliefs. I do not blame all Babtist for hate groups like this.. if anything.. I think real Babtists would consider this an insult to have a hate group like that associated with them. I admire Heath Ledger very much and I’m deeply saddened and still in shock that we lost him. He was a great actor and that was just starting to really take off. Playing the Joker in Dark Knight would really have boosted his reputation as being a fearless actor with an enourmous amount of potential. He chose to his roles carefully. When he chose to play a gay actor in a Brokeback Mountain… it wasn’t because he was gay, it was because he had no fear and he had the intelligence to see the character in his role. So let that hate group picket his funeral… because in the end.. they will not get the reaction they were hoping for.. they will only be seen as ignorant stupid people with absolutely no intelligence. They are not Babtist.. they are simply a hate group with nothing better to do with their lives than to mock a great actors funeral.

I believe in free speech until I read filth like this, and I wish that we could do something about it. Everybody is equal. Since Christ was a faithful Jew, under the law of the day, homosexuals were stoned. The often quoted incident were he forgave a woman taken in adultery is not relevant, because the law required both the woman and the man to be executed, or neither. The men were going to execute the woman in that case, but let the man go free. By the way, any sexual immorality, wether it be hetero, or homosexual is all punished under God’s law exactly the same way.

God does not change, your modern, milqetoast version of morality doesn’t change the facts. If you are a Christian you confess that those outside of Christ will perish and suffer eternal punishment, otherwise, there’s no use to be a Christian. Heath Ledger had it all, and abused drugs and died, what a waste.
They fail to see the bigger picture. Yes you should stand up for the morals that you believe in but picketing his funeral isn’t going to do anything but cause his family more grief on top of what they are going through now.
God sees ALL sins, yes that’s ALL sins (i.e. adultery, fornication, cursing, laziness) as equal. Make a statement in the press, etc about your beliefs on homosexuality being immoral but don’t picket a funeral. My goodness.
