Singer Amy Winehouse’s offer to purchase an apartment in London has been rejected after the building’s residents committee vetoed the star.The 24 year-old is already renting a home in the same development, but wanted to permanently purchase a warehouse-style home in the trendy east London complex, which she shares with her hairdresser friend Alex Foden. A source tells British newspaper the Sunday Mirror, “Her application was refused. The feeling was that neighbours would be uncomfortable with the attention she gets.”
