OJ Simpson’s bail revoked: back to jail

OJ Simpson’s bail has been revoked and he’s heading back to jail, it is reported. According to reports, bail bondsman Miguel Pereira took him into custody in Miami and was escorting him to the Miami International Airport for a flight to Nevada on Friday afternoon. A hearing was set for this coming Wednesday. A close friend of OJ says the former football star is “crushed” at the latest twist in the case and was “really strict and abiding by the rules of the bail”. The source added that Simpson, who is charged with a Las Vegas hotel room robbery, had been extra careful. He had apparently “even avoided Christmas parties where people involved in this case might have been”. Simpson was originally arrested on September 16 last year, when he and several accomplices allegedly broke into a hotel room at the Palace Station Casino and stole memorabilia that he claimed had belonged to him, though he later said he was leading his own personal “sting operation.” He was charged with two counts of robbery with a deadly weapon, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit burglary and burglary with a firearm.
