Troubled singer Amy Winehouse is still refusing to be shipped off to rehab, because she says she is not a weakling. The 24-year-old singer, famous for the lyrics “They tried to make me go to rehab, I said no, no, no,” explained: “If you can’t sort something out for yourself then no one can help you. I don’t know whether that’s because I’m a strong woman.” The singer, who has just returned home from her stay at Bryan Adams’ luxury villa on the Caribbean island of Mustique, insists that getting hooked on alcohol is worse than dabbling with A-class drugs. “Drinking long-term is a lot worse than heroin,” she tells America’s OK! magazine. “I went to a restaurant recently and my friend was like, ‘Do you remember the last time we were here? The head waiter carried you but you were trying to punch and kick us.’” Amy admits she sometimes needs a drink to help her cope with the pressures of everyday life. “There are days when I’m like: ‘Listen, if you want to have a nice day, please get me some alcohol,’” she confesses.
