The season premiere of American Idol will air Tuesday, Jan. 15 on Fox at 8pm. The premiere will be a two day, four hour event that will continue on Wednesday, Jan. 16. Judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, and Randy Jackson will presumably return to judge once again, along with Ryan Seacrest as host. The auditions for the seventh season were held in San Diego, Dallas, Omaha, Atlanta, Charleston, Miami, and Philadelphia. They spanned from July 30 – August 27. Last season, Jordin Sparks won the competition with Blake Lewis as the runner-up. Both were signed with recording companies
