In a court hearing at California Superior Court this afternoon, Britney Spears’ ex-husband Kevin Federline was awarded “sole legal custody and sole physical custody of their young children,” two-year-old Sean Preston and one-year-old Jayden James. Commissioner Scott M. Gordon heard the case this afternoon and ruled that Britney’s visitation was “suspended” until the next scheduled hearing, 10 days from now on January 14, at 8:30 a.m.The hearing was scheduled at the last minute just hours after Britney was rushed to hospital. She was taken by ambulance from her Beverly Hills mansion to Cedars Sinai hospital following a bizarre evening where she held her own kids hostage and then was detained by police who suspected she was “under the influence of an unknown substance”, reports People magazine. Meanwhile, the Spears family are said to “terrified” following the shocking news of the troubled singer’s hospitalization, a source close to the Spears family claims. “Everyone has been worried for some time. Her world has been crumbling around her and this is another call for help. Her parents are just devastated. Nobody knows if they can take much more, but they’re trying to be as strong as they can,” a source told People earlier today.
