1. Who can forget when a dazed and confused Britney Spears entered a beauty salon in Tarzana on February 17 and quite baldly shaved her head? This undoubtedly marked the beginning of the end of Britney Spears in a year that saw her check in and out of rehab, lose custody of her two children and learn that her 16 year-old sister is pregnant.

2. Following one DUI arrest and just 11 days after leaving Promises rehab, Lindsay Lohan was arrested for DUI and possession of cocaine while chasing down her assistant. LiLo later paid her dues and endured yet another stint at the Cirque rehab clinic in Utah, served 84 minutes in prison, dated a snowboarder who claims she is a nympho and was rumored to be a lesbian.

3.We all remember Paris Hilton’s rather controversial stay in prison. But more importantly we will never forget when Judge Michael Sauer ordered the 26-year-old back to prison after she was transferred to home detention. She then toured the world and made some big bucks for fashion and entertainment appearances.

4. Its been almost a year and the madness surrounding the death of Anna Nicole Smith is yet to end. Following her accidental overdose on prescription pills, a media frenzy was sparked after numerous males came forth claiming to have fathered Anna Nicoles daughter, Dannielynn. In April after months of speculation Larry Birkhead proved to be the baby’s biological father, but the mystery surrounding Anna Nicole’s death still remains.

5. Nicole Richie’s life certainly took a dramatic turn in 2007. After being arrested on DUI charges for driving the wrong way down a Californian freeway, the starlet shocked the world by confirming speculation that she was pregnant with Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden’s baby.

6. Troubled Amy Winehouse was famously dragged through a London hospital’s emergency doors before collapsing from a potentially lethal drugs overdose. The 24-year-old had reportedly taken a lethal cocktail of heroin, ecstasy, ketamine and vodka before being given a life-saving adrenaline shot in the early hours of August 8. Later in the year, her husband got arrested for corruption, she saw her life exposed in a British tabloid in a letter by…her mom,and gangsters threaten to kidnap her for $200,000.

7. Perhaps one of the most shocking events of the year fell on August 26 when a normally comical Owen Wilson attempted what the police labelled a suicide. Numerous reports emerged following the event which claim Wilson was struggling with a drug addiction that stemmed from his break-up from actress Kate Hudson.

8. After departing from her longtime publicist, Heather Mills went wild in a flurry of interviews in both the UK and US, claiming she felt “suicidal” and “persecuted” since her split from ex-Beatle Sir Paul McCartney. The one-legged model went on to claim that she has been the victim of a media hate campaign, received death threats and has likened herself to the late Princess Diana: “I have been persecuted. What did the paparazzi do to Princess Diana? They chased her and they killed her.”

9. Hogan certainly doesn’t know best, at least when it comes to his son Nick Bollea. The 17-year-old was involved in a serious car crash in August which left good friend, John Graziano, in a unrecoverable state. Soon after the crash details of Bollea’s previous convictions emerged, and he was arrested on November 7 in relation to charges of reckless driving involving serious bodily injury and being under the age of 21 and operating a vehicle with a breath-alcohol level of 0.02 percent or higher and illegal window tint.

10. High School Musical Vanessa Hudgens shocked the world when she confirmed that leaked internet pictures which claim to show the Disney star naked were in fact real. A rep for the now 18-year-old confirmed the photos validity in a statement, saying “This was a photo which was taken privately. It is a personal matter and it is unfortunate that this has become public.”
