Spice Girls star Mel B reportedly charged £10,000 (approx $20,000) to attend a Christmas fundraiser in aid of terminally ill children. According to reports, the former Dancing With The Stars contestant refused to waive her huge appearance fee for helping kid’s charity the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The singer, who’s currently touring the UK with the Spice Girls, of which she is set to pocket around $20 million from, turned up to the fundraiser at Selfridges in London this week. A store insider told the the press that: “ Many people felt she should have waived her fee. It’s the least she could have done to help raise cash for the kids.” The mother of two attended the event, with her new husband Stephen Belafonte, where she sang Santa Claus Is Coming To Town and Jingle Bells in the carol singalong, she then wandered round the store with a donations bucket. “Everyone was thrilled when Mel B agreed to appear. With the Spice Girls in town for their tour it was a real coup to get her. It’s shameful shoppers gave up their hard-earned cash yet here was a Spice Girl giving nothing,”added the insider.
