Troubled singer Amy Winehouse has given the finger to the Jewish cult Kabbalah – of which Madonna is member. The 24 year-old star reportedly had her heart set on one of the organization’s trademark red string bracelets after spotting a girl wearing one in the street. The bracelets are said to ward off evil spirits but Amy had no interest in their spiritual side, because she just wanted one as a fashion statement. “Amy saw someone wearing one and thought it was cool,” a pal of the singer told Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper. “She stopped the person who gave her a Kabbalah handbook and was told to go see a Kabbalah rabbi if she wanted a bracelet. Amy baulked when she discovered the bracelets cost $36 and said she’d give the rabbi a miss.”
