Basketball player Tony Parker has filed a lawsuit against photo agency X17, who alleged he cheated on his new wife with a French model. Alexandra Paressant told X17 reporters she briefly romanced the basketball player after the couple exchanged telephone numbers at his wedding in July 2007. Parker has strongly refuted the claims, and on Wednesday the Frenchman has filed a lawsuit against X17. Parker’s legal team claims, “X17 had to know that the story was false, or, at the very least, it had to have entertained serious doubts about the credibility of its supposed source.” Parker is angry the agency failed to “verify the information with Mr. Parker, Ms. Longoria, any of their representatives or….anyone else who might have knowledge of the truth or falsity of the allegations.”He is seeking $20 million in damages.
