LA Galaxy soccer star David Beckham has bought his Spice Girl wife Victoria a $1,500 book for Christmas. According to reports, the 32 year-old soccer player splashed out on a limited edition tome, signed by one of Victoria’s favorite fashion designers: Valentino Clemente Ludovico Garavani (better known as Valentino). A source close to the famous couple, said: “It will make for some good toilet reading for Victoria. Most people might get a gardening book in their stocking – but Posh gets this.”Only 2,000 copies of the book, title ‘Valentino Garavani: First Name in Fashion’, were published. Each tome comes is presented in a red silk Valentino clamshell box and features pictures from the 74-year-old designer’s career, along with comments from some of the top fashion writers in the world. Earlier this month, David treated Victoria and her four Spice Girls bandmates to gold bracelets to celebrate their reunion world tour.
