Movie mogul Harvey Weinstein married British designer Georgina Chapman (co-founder of Marchesa) at his waterfront Connecticut estate Saturday night before a star-studded crowd that included Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, Cameron Diaz, Renée Zellweger, Naomi Watts, Eva Mendes, Anne Hathaway, and director Quentin Tarantino. Vogue editor Anna Wintour, supermodels Karolina Kurkova, Natalia Vodianova and Helena Christensen also attended. Among those who sent videotaped tributes were Bill and Hillary Clinton, Mayor Bloomberg, Gwyneth Paltrow, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Heidi Klum, George Clooney and Anthony Minghella. Guests in the heated, flower-strewn tent overlooking the ocean were treated to a meal of Dover sole and veal by Cipriani, a fireworks show, and performances by the Gipsy Kings and Sharon Jones, as well as a toast from Robert De Niro. The 31 year old bride designed her own gown and her maid of honour was her partner in Marchesa, Karen Craig. The 55 year-old groom was escorted by his mother, Miriam, and his brother, Bob, with whom he co-founded Miramax Films. “The wedding was the most elegant, loving affair I’ve ever seen,” one guest told People magazine. “The room was full of incredible people who were there to toast the couple, who looked totally in love.”The marriage was the second for Weinstein, who was divorced in 2004, and the first for Chapman, a former model.
