Talk-show diva Oprah Winfrey helped her friend Obama to campaign Saturday in Des Moines, Iowa, drawing huge crowds that both hope will translate into votes. Spectators lined up hours early and cameras flashed in the capacity crowd during Winfrey’s speech, which opened and closed to loud applause and was frequently interrupted by cries of “We love Oprah.” Obama took the stage after Oprah and asked the roaring crowd”You want Oprah as Vice-president? That would be a demolition would understand that?” Oprah will continue campaigning tomorrow with stops in News Hampshire and South Carolina.
