Ugly Betty star America Ferrera and High School Musical 2 hunk Zac Efron were crowned king and queen of family entertainment at the ninth Family Television Awards, on Wednesday night. She won the best actress award for her role as the sartorially challenged Betty Suarez trying to make it in the tough New York fashion world. The series also won best comedy. Zac Efron won Best Actor for his portrayal of heartthrob Troy Bolton in the popular Disney sequel which also landed the Best Movie Musical award. At the ceremony held at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles other nominees were Pushing Daisies - named Best New Series, and Heroes was named Best Drama.
