Actress Naomi Watts has been lined up to appear in The Da Vinci Code prequel alongside Tom Hanks. According to the New York Post, the star will play the female lead in the Ron Howard-directed Angels And Demons which is now scheduled to hit theaters on May 15, 2009. Dan Brown’s Angels & Demons introduces the Robert Langdon character played by Tom Hanks in Da Vinci. In the prequel, Langdon’s character tries to solve a murder and unravel a plot by an ancient group, the Illuminati, to blow up the Vatican during a papal conclave.
