Actress Lindsay Lohan finally started doing some good on Monday afternoon, when she began her community service at an American Red Cross blood services facility in an L.A. suburb. People magazine reports that Lilo arrived at noon, and was greeted by staff in the parking lot before walking into the building. The actress, who recently got out of rehab, left the facility around 7 p.m. and was carrying a book sparsely titled Blood. Lohan, 21, was sentenced to the mandatory four days in jail for her second DUI conviction following her arrest this past July, but prosecutors agreed she could serve 10 days of community service rather than behind bars. She must still serve 24 hours in jail any time before January 18, 2008. The actress is also placed on three years probation and must complete an 18-month alcohol education program.
