Canadian singer Celine Dion recently announced the dates for her upcoming world tour. After five years performing the A New Day show at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, the singer will launch her tour with stops in Africa, Asia, Australia and Europe, before hitting the U.S. and Canada. The North America Taking Chances World Tour is scheduled to start August 12 in Boston. The tour will take the singer across the U.S. and her native Canada over the course of six months, wrapping on January 30, 2009 in Florida. “These past five years of performing at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas have been an incredibly rewarding experience for myself and my family, but I’m ready to hit the road again, with my husband and son by my side”, Dion said “It’s going to be so exciting to tour the U.S. and Canada again, and perform everything with a brand new show. I just can’t wait!” The show, is being directed by Jamie King (Madonna’s Confessions World Tour, Christina Aguilera’s Back to Basics World Tour, Ricky Martin’s Livin’ La Vida Loca World Tour) and “will accompany Dion’s performances with a visual feast of color, fashion, dance and surprise!” Start saving because tickets go on sale beginning November 16.
